"Many thanks to Humane Solutions for solving our rodents in the attic problem so promptly and efficiently. It was a pleasure to do business with you from beginning 'til end. Jeremy was/is knowledgeable, informative, super-efficient, and a delight to work with. From first contact until last, the whole process was minimally disruptive, timely, and pleasant even while dealing with an unpleasant problem. I only wish all service companies were so reasonable and so pleasant to deal with. Thank you and well done Joe and Jeremy."
"Consulting with Humane Solutions provided meaningful and effective information that has helped to contain a mouse issue and isolate my suite in a building that has become infested. They exposed how I was being misled and misinformed by the property management and their pest control company regarding what was (and what was NOT) being done to properly deal with this situation, and in turn offered a proactive DIY game plan that so far is showing results. I highly recommend contacting Humane Solutions if you're in the maddeningly vulnerable position of having your home infested with pests and vermin, and to make that problem disappear."
"Humane Solutions is a company that truly cares about its customers and their wildlife concerns. They are a solutions based company that works hard to fix problems without the use of nasty poisons or other ineffective, unsafe, methods. Our mouse control process
If your mouse control provider is continuously servicing traps and poison without addressing structural flaws or available resources, you are a victim of the pest control scam.
The standard treatment for a mouse infestation — regardless of the size and scope — is simply to apply rodenticides. The majority of people managing their rodents this way will never achieve a permanent result, and typically, this means that most consumers reaching out to pest control for help will ultimately become life-long customers paying for recurring, ineffective services.
Mice in your structure
If mice are inside, there are active access-points that have to be dealt with. Mice lay down pheromone trails, so even if you remove every mouse, more will pick up the scent and find their way in. Structural mouse problems are literally never-ending until the accesses are effectively pest-proofed.
- Onsite consultation/quote
- Full pest-proofing - stop the 'flow' of mice
- Install one-way doors on main mice accesses
- Install humane mice traps both inside and on the exterior
- Follow-up until mouse infestation has subsided
Exterior mouse control Maple Ridge
Instead of poison stations for mouse control, we use humane mouse trapping stations. It usually costs about the same, because instead of paying a premium for the rodenticide itself, you pay for more frequent visits to maintain the trapping stations. Our mouse stations look similar to poison stations; they are low-profile, secure, and no-sight. Here are some benefits:
- diverts poison away from the ecosystem
- seconds to a mouse kill vs 2-8 days
- allows us to generate your CatchData reports
- knowing what we catch and where allows us to optimize and improve your service over time
- CatchData reports allow us to prove the efficacy of our services, important for larger commercial, industrial, and government clients.
Mouse removal using one-way doors
How we achieve humane, instant removal
Aside from our broad skill-sets, one-way doors are the most useful tools in our arsenal. When used properly, every mouse is forced to exit the structure and is locked outside, forcing them to self-relocate.
Rats dehydrate in 12 hours, so even if there are 50 mice in your structure, they will all leave through the door at the same time. Combined with humane trapping programs inside and out, you cannot get a better result with any other method.
This method does not work if the structure is not completely pest-proofed; if you miss one access point you might as well have done nothing at all.
The industry standard is to avoid addressing these access points, and turn your rat problem into an ongoing source of revenue.
Don't fall victim to the pest control scam!

Pest control must move away from ineffective, inhumane rodenticides.
How we manage our rodents has consequences
Rodenticides are responsible for countless secondary-poisonings that span wild and domestic species. Birds of prey, predators, dogs and cats, and even humans are poisoned with rodenticides every day, in every county across the world. It’s time to start doing it right, and it we have worked hard to make it easier for us to make the change.
- rodents consume or contaminate up to 20% of the global food supply
- rodents are responsible for billions of dollars of infrastructure damage and resource loss
- billions are spent on controlling rats globally
- thousands of children are poisoned by rodenticides every year
- every tax-payer, and an unquantifiable amount of nature is affected by this policy failure
