BC's Leading Eco-Friendly Bear Control Company
Do you have a bear problem at your home or business?
Bears can cause a variety of serious problems for people living in rural environments, or even on the fringes of urban centers such as North Vancouver or Port Moody. Common issues with bears are typically aggressive behaviour towards people and pets, property damage, and livestock or crop loss. Trust us with your bear control needs!
Ethical bear control.
Factors like overpopulation, adaptation, and disease can cause some bears to develop worse habits than others. It is imperative to identify and mitigate the available resources and human behaviour, exclude the bears from the area of concern, as well as attempt to condition the bears to choose other locations and habits. Failing to do so creates an opportunity for a bear to misbehave, and likely will join the thousands of bears that are killed by conservation officers every year.
Expert bear training.
If you have a large, active bear population, you can expect to encounter them on an ongoing basis. How you interact with them will ultimately dictate their perception of humans, and will have the biggest impact on their overall well-being should they decide to stick around our communities. Humane Solutions staffs leading bear and predator management experts, and we have extensive experience developing custom bear awareness and co-existence strategies. We can train just about anyone to exist comfortably alongside bears.
Hazing & conditioning.
Properties with large and active bear populations can expect ongoing encounters, this is especially true for hobby and professional farms - whether it's fruit trees or livestock. Waiting until a bear commits a critical error and requires relocation or lethal control is not sustainable, nor necessary. We offer effective hazing and conditioning services which reprogram the bears and cause them to habituate elsewhere. When exclusion and resource mitigation fail, hazing and conditioning are the next logical step in a humane management plan.
Whether we’re talking about large parcel of private or corporate land, or an entire municipality, we are able to assess your local ecosystem and develop a site-specific management strategy to bring your bear problems under control.

Bear control services for every customer and industry.
Residential | Commercial | Municipal | Industrial
Professional and humane bear services for every industry and every situation. Backed by science and an expert team, when you work with us you can be confident you will get the results you want.
Attractants are almost always the root cause of bear problems. This can be garbage, gardens, crops, livestock, or even an ideal scratching post or drinking hole. For small attractants, we will usually suggest simply removing it. However, for many home gardeners, bee-keepers, and commercial and industrial operations, this simply isn't possible. In this situation, we will offer you permanent exclusion options. For open spaces, you can't get much better than electric fences. Although, there are some motion-sensor deterrents etc. that have proven some success.
Bear Awareness & Co-Existance
The title says it all - it's all about education on both sides, and working towards co-existence. We are increasingly involved in the education side of bear and predator management; we offer a variety of services ranging from training and education courses to empower you and your staff, or we can take control of your bear issues and leave you to focus on what is important - and feel safe doing it.
Bear Resource & Attractant Management
If you are not producing food items on your property for your business or wellbeing, then the logical course of action is to identify and remove access to the attractants. We will always include this as part of any bear management plan, because without removing the attractant, we are failing to address the root cause. If possible, physical removal is ideal. If not, the next step is exclusion strategies.
We can help identify your attractants and develop a mitigation strategy. Call us today for a free consultation!
